Step by Step Directions for Entering and Participating in Contest

Step 1:

Step 2: 

Schedule your First Check- In #1
September 25th 9:30AM-12:30PM First Check-In

Scheduled between September 25th and October 2nd.  The earlier you check in the more points you can earn!
You can start accumulating points between March 25th and December 18th.
 

At Check In #1 the following will occur:

You will receive the Kitchen Clean-Out, Kitchen Restock, Sample meal plan and Points Award Book, a copy of the contest rules and directions, and the following measurements will be taken: 
Body Fat Measured by Calipers
Circumference Measurements
Weight Noted

The ACSM and AHA guidelines for physical activity will be reviewed and a plan for achieving your health goals will be devised.

If you do your check in on the 25th, you will also be able to earn points getting your blood pressure screened, having your functional analysis done, and learning about the paleo diet, detoxing, and whether or not it is right for you!

Check in #2 will also be scheduled

 

Step 3: 

Start collecting points in your points award book; follow ACSM/AHA  guidelines, follow your plan for achieving your health goals.

Step 4:

Arrive at your Check- In #2 Appointment

Review and modification to your plan

Check-In #3 Scheduled

Step 5:

Continue to collect points in your award book; follow ACSM/AHA guidelines, follow your revised/updated plan for achieving your health goals.

Step 6:

Arrive at your Check-In #3 Appointment

Scheduled between December 11th and December 18th
No points to be awarded for activities after December 18th!Final weigh-in; body fat measurements taken; circumference measurements taken; points award log checked.

Step 7:

December 30th: Winners announced and notified!

 

 

Contest official Kick-off September 25.  Contest officially ends December 18th with winners announced Thursday, December 30th. 

Each prize category winner will receive a $200 gift basket (combination of cash and prizes).  You are eligible to win in more than one category!

Prize Category #1:  Most Points Earned

Prize Category #2:  Highest Decrease in Body Fat Percentage

Prize Category #3:  Team Award-- Most points earned

Once you have entered as an individual, you will have the option to form a team of 6 and also compete for the Team Prize.  The team prize will be for most points accumulated among team members.  All team members must first be registered as individuals and all team members will still be eligible to win an individual prize.

  If you would like to form a team or be part of a team, e-mail us at info@avalonpersonaltraining.com.  We just need your team name, team captain, and the names, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of everyone on the team.

You will be able to accumulate points between September 25th and December 18th.

You can accumulate points by doing healthy things- all of which are outlined in your Points Award Book that you receive at your first check-in.  Some examples of things you can earn points for:  taking a mile walk/jog around Charlestown; eating one of the healthy meals outlined in the book; drinking 8 glasses of water a day, etc.

Early registration starts Tuesday, Sept 7th!  Sign up and schedule your first check in between September 25th and November 15th.  We'll take late registrants, but for your best chance at winning, please take full advantage of the length of the contest and get your first check-in done at our contest kick-off on September 25th.

First 10 registrants will receive a free class pass to use themselves or give to a friend.
