The CrossFit Onboarding sessions are private, 1:1 45 minute session with one of our certified CrossFit trainers. The onboarding packages include your first Avalon CrossFit Journal. The sessions will cover the proper mechanics of the squat, deadlift, push press, push jerk; use of the rings, GHD machine, pull-up bands, ab mats, rope climb, box jump, olympic lifting fundamentals and more. For some of you this will simply be a review and correction of form, but for others this may be your first introduction. The sessions move at your pace, so the more knowledge you have coming in, the more that will be covered in the two sessions.
All items covered are basics that everyone who is currently attending one of our CrossFit classes already knows. A minimum of two Onboarding sessions are required unless you have passed our test out. If you are brand new to CrossFit and lifting in general, it is strongly encouraged to take 4 onboarding sessions before moving into the Beginner On Ramp classes. As you start in the classes if you need a single session to work on specific skills, you can purchase a single CrossFit Skills Session to work 1:1 with a coach.
